Electronic Distribution of Candidate Materials for SSCMLP & SMT

Print

Effective January 2012, PMAC will be moving to electronic distribution of candidate materials for the SSCMLP Designation program and the SMT Diploma program. We are doing this for the following reasons:

  • Improved Quality – We have found that a number of issues arise from relying on a print house to generate our materials in terms of quality and errors. By moving to electronic distribution we can reduce these printer related issues and also provide candidates with the ability to conduct electronic searches of their materials and enlargements.
  • Improved Delivery - Another common issue that we face is the difficulty in getting candidates their materials in a timely fashion. With electronic distribution we will be able to better serve our entire province by providing direct access to course materials in as little as 24 hours after registration. It also prevents issues associated with courier loss and damage.
  • New Standard – Accessing materials electronically is the standard for most graduate level programs across the country and will be the new standard for PMAC Nationally.
  • Going Green – In an effort to save paper waste, this new method of distribution will allow students the option to either read their materials electronically or print them if they choose.
  • Copyrighted Works – The move to electronic distribution is enabled now that program materials are available for use through a paid electronic library catalog service.

More information will be provided to program participants upon registration in courses, modules, seminars and workshops.
