Founded in 1920, The Purchasing Management Association of Canada, (PMAC), has become the leading professional organization in Canada. Recognized for its high standards in "Education, Research and Ethical Standards" PMAC has over 7000 members. The Saskatchewan Institute is currently one of nine provincial institutes across Canada.
The Saskatchewan Institute of the Purchasing Management Association of Canada (SIPMAC) was formed May 8, 1995. The office was established in July 2002 with the hiring of its first Executive Director and has thus become better positioned to serve the purchasing and supply management profession and its 250 members in the province.
Working directly with PMAC, the Saskatchewan Institute provides an unmatched accreditation program towards the Certified Professional Purchaser (C.P.P.) designation. The C.P.P. is the only legally recognized Canadian designation in the purchasing and supply management profession.
